Electrical problem
1997 Plymouth Voyager 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 126000 miles
When I turn on my windshield wipers, they don't move. There is no sound and they will work every now and then. I just got the motor replaced and they were working fine. Now they go when they want to. Is this a fuse problem?
Fuse simply lets electric current run through wires so this would not be the problem.
It sounds like there is a short in the wiring. Test wiring from motor and ensure that wires are well insulated and no bare spots that could cause short circuits.
In your power distribution center under the hood, there are two relays controlling the wiper operation. Try swapping them with similar relays you may have in the box.
