1997 Other Toyota Models loss of power while driving

Engine Performance problem
1997 Other Toyota Models 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 129000 miles

Hi I have a 97 tacoma 2.7 ltr. 5speed 4wd, I've had an issue while driving. my engine seems to loose power for a few seconds and then regains power this does not happen all the time and the truck runs great other than this small problem.. any ideas? thanks..

How long ago did you replace the fuel filter?
