I just had work done on the car, how do I get the check engine light off? I know that there is usually a reset button or little trick that you do to turn it off.

Scantool will be able to reset it, but after the right number of drive cycles and the right repairs, the light will go out, if you want to hurry it up, you could remove the negative battery cable for a few minutes, but then you may have drive/idle problems until it relearns the sensors.
