Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Other Plymouth Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 88000 miles

My neon will run 130 miles no problem, then the engine will die and after 30 seconds to a minute it will restart. It may continue to run for 30 miles or stop after just a few. We put a new fuel pump in it and it will do the same thing.
Why is this problem intermittent and what could be the answer?

Have you had the computer scanned for codes? It sounds electrical.
