Electrical problem
1997 Other Jeep Models 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 133405 miles

i was driving my jeep yesterday and it was running fine, until my interior lights turned on. i opened every door and closed it to make sure all of them were closed properly. i tried everything but they are still on and i am not sure what to do.

Most all door lights are turned on when the door is opened and a ground is then made at the little plunger down on the front door jam. Maybe one of these is worn enough inside that it tilted and is grounding. Open one door at a time and see if the light is on when you push in on the plunger. Do each door seperatly and see if you can find the one acting up. Please let me know Curt
