Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Other Ford Models 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 100000 miles

this is a 1.8 diesel engine. it broke its belt which damaged the valves. we replaced it with another engine from a breaker (which runs ok) but as this engine did not have power steering, we used the alternator bracket from the old engine to mount this. everything looks in line, but it keeps shearing the mounting bolts to the block sometimen in as little as 3 miles. can you help please???
