Engine Performance problem

My 1997 Nissan Sentra Jerks at time when i drive once i get to a stop ligth the Jerking is felt even more at that time it seems like it wants to stall and does at times. My check engine light comes on and stays on and eventually goes out, which i know they call it a soft code. The code for the EGR Valves had not yet been reset since the Part was insalled a few Days ago I had a diagnostic done on it and it said EGR Valve malfunctioning. So i replaced the EGR silenoid and the EGR Valve yet the problem still excist. I was told there is a third Part to the EGR system which is the EGR Vaccum silenoid. Before i go out and buy this Part i will replace the Fuel first to see if that makes a difference
