Smells problem
1997 Mitsubishi Lancer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 85000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi! i have this very puzzling problem regarding my vehicle in which i could not understand and solve. My vehicle emits thick Black-White smoke from the tailpipe. Went to a qualified auto shop. They told me i need to replace the Head Gasket and the Valve Seals without checking the engine whatsoever. And so they did replaced it. Now all seems to be okay, drove the car and did not see any smoke coming from the tailpipe. Here comes the bad news, i noticed specifically when i go on a High Gear and travel around 90-100 kph, i noticed this thick smoke again exiting from behind, and worst of all the exhaust fumes goes to the inside of my car! I can smell the exhaust and can see very clearly the smoke inside the car..this is worrying me bec. why would it go inside when im moving forward and the smoke is going the other way?? is there a leak in my engine? went back to the shop they said i need to clean the inside of my muffler system coz thats the reason why there is smoke..im not sure if i would believe them or not. pls. Help me. Thank you.
