Engine Mechanical problem 1997 Mercury Tracer 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 99k miles ---------------------------------------------------------------- My car is in the body shop for some front right corner collission work. Unfortunatly the impact was just hard enough to break off one of the pulleys for the belt assembly. I am told by the mehanic it isn't really needed and does not need to be replaced, just a smaller belt will work. Now that sounds weird to me but he certainly can make a lot more money by r/r ing the pully. Any thoughts?
