1997 Mazda Truck wont heat but cools the dickins out of the

Heater problem
1997 Mazda Truck 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 120000 miles

When the temp selector is in the red or heat zone no heated water is fed to the heater core. Have checked the vac. conections inside the cab and under the hood

Feel the hoses (2) leading into and out of the heater core. Are they hot? Only one of them hot? Start there to determine if hot water is actually getting to one side of the heater core. The heater core itself may be stopped up internally.
