1997 Lincoln Mark VIII Door Unlock button inside the car!

Electrical problem
1997 Lincoln Mark VIII 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 107685 miles

Ok! When i push the unlock door button inside of the car that is on the driverside door not on the key thing! it doesnt work! is this a wiring problem!? if it is would a mechanic fix it!???
