1997 Jeep Wrangler Four Wheel Drive Manual

I have a 97 wrangler with a 2 to 3 inch lift. I need to replace a sway bar link and was wondering if a stock one would work?

With just a 2-3 inch lift it kinda depends on the kit that was installed i have put on many lifts and depending on who makes the kit they either replace or dont (end links). Dont mean to make you sound funny but if it has the factory links on it than yes. You can tell by the shape of them. Most lift kits put a square pc on the sway bar itself and then the new end link bolts thru that and then to the lower mount. If its factory then it bolts directly to the sway bar itself by way of a stud that comes directly up off the top of it. It looks just likt the stud on top of a shock absorber. Why do you need to replace them?? Usually the factory one will fail because the stud has a ball joint on the bottom that lets it swivel around and they pop out under load like when bouncin or rough riding. If it has pulled apart then i almost garrantee you that it is factory. You might want to upgrade to a Good BDS sway bar end link.. Hope this helps. Curt
