1997 Hyundai Accent stalled at stop sign and wont start

Engine Performance problem
1997 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 135,00 miles

it will crank but not fire. not sure it is getting gas we tried jumping it still no results

if gas is dumped down the throttle body does the vehicle fire up? and run till no more gas is present? does it keep running untill it is shut off after primed with gas?
