Electrical problem
1997 Honda Accord 4 cyl Automatic 64000 miles
my car all of a sudden stop the engine going 70 mph i tried to pull over and then it started up again by itself, then stopped again and repeated the same thing till i got home.. 100 miles the S.R.S. light came on i never lost headlights but turn signal didnt work 3 people said its the fuel relay now i just changed the fuel filter 1 mth ago any idea before i occure a major bill to diagnos this????
Yes, fuel pump relay could cause this problem. With out whether it is fuel or spark or both that are failing we are just guessing. A pump relay is not that expensive as parts go.
it may be the pump itself, but I would start with the relay. Also, you may want to have your computer scanned to see what triggered the SRS light. This may hold a valuable clue. Hope this helps.
