1997 GMC Suburban V8 Two Wheel Drive 190000 miles

The DRL on my 97 Suburban do not work. The low beams are also very dim. I do not know where the DRL relay is or the module. What might the problem be? And were are these thingl located?

You dim lights may be not your lights at all but a symptom of something else. Your battery or alternator may be going. So before you are stranded and we can make sure that isn’t the problem and it is just the lights acting up. Please do the following.

Please go to Auto Zone or O’Reilly’s and for FREE they can bring their tester out and check your battery, alternator and starter on the car. While you are there, if this isn’t the problem and they all test really good, then asked them to pull the codes to the car. Most important: Once they check your codes, if they find something and you don’t get it fixed and need to get back with us, please make sure you tell us exactly what the code was, number and all. Example, if the code was E0568 O2 Sensor bad. Then make sure you give us all of that. This is all free so the price is right.

Also, if you need to get back with us, please let me know if your suburban is a 1500, 2500 etc and I will need to know the engine size in liter and the 8th digit of your VIN. If it is a diesel then I need to know that also. If you are unsure of these things ask the folks at AZ to help.
