Electrical problem
1997 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 98,000 miles

The conection to my battery seems to be broke on the metal part that connects to the battery on one of the sides. I,ve got a replacement metal peace to put on , but its a bit different than the old one . it seems by the way it looks ill have to strip the wires and then clamp the new peace onto the wires . now my question is it ok to strip both wires running to the peace and clamp them together into the new metal part?

If I understand your post correctly, yes, that will work.

When you strip the insulation back, if you see a lot of corrosion, it would be best to replace the cable.
