Engine Performance problem
1997 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 173000 miles

The truck is sputtering and/or skipping when pressing the accelerator.
When the truck is coasting and is not under a pull, it does not sputter or skip.
The service engine light came on.
I changed the spark plugs and wires but it did not correct the problem.
Please help
