Shakes or Wobbles problem

A couple of months ago my 97 Dakota O2 sensor went out. I went to the local Checker and they advised that 02 sensor needed to be replaced but wouldn't hurt my car from driving. Like an Idiot 3 months later I still haven't replaced it. Now I am having issues with my acceleration. I will be driving and my accelerator will start stall out like i'm running out of gas, the vechile will then shake and then it will pick up again but it will continue to do this. I have an appointment on Monday but wanted to ask beforehand. Thank you.
