i drive about 30 miles to work and i take the freeway most of the way but about a week ago when i was about 7 miles from work i noticed that when i would slow down or stop my temp would go up then down and keep doing that off and on, so after work i checked water and added more before leaving the car was fine. someone told me that i was loseing water through radiator cap that why it didn't do it all the time so i replaced that it was fine for a few days then started again only this time it was doing it more often my husband thought thermostat was causing it so he replaced that checked hoses, radiator, coolent, belts, fans all was fine let it run in driveway a while no problems he ran a few places with it it was fine then all of a sudden temp shot up car died he let it cool coolent/water and now it won't start, he only got it to start one time after this happened but it instantly went hot and died could it be the water pump or is it something more
