Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Chysler Grand Voyager 4 cyl Automatic 92,000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
engine coolant keeps draining and when running low the gears stick and wont change event tho the revs still increases and has a top spped when like this of about 50 mph this is an automatic car

Hi:

I question that the two are related. Where is the coolant leaking from? Also, is the transmission fluid clean and full? Finally, when was the trasnmission last serviced?

Just to add a thought, is the mil on, when your having trouble? Your vehicle may be going into, (limp-home mode)?

Can you check for codes, you might be able to cycle the ignition switch and get some codes. Some of the national brand autostores will check codes for free.
