Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Chevy Tahoe V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 98000 miles

About how much money is it to replace these things. My mechanic just did the waterpump a couple of weeks ago. Now this. Estimate was about $750.00 w/o injectors being replaced. Is this a fair price and is this normal "wear and tear" on this part. He said the top of the engine would have to come off, to get to the gasket. Now, a cracked manifold.
He replaced the manifold with a re-built one off e-bay. Total cost to me is around $1,100.00 U.S.
So, what do u guy's think???
