Engine Performance problem
1997 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 160000 miles

When you come to stop it feels like it wants to stall. But when I park turning wheel it stalls, starts right up again

Get the idle air control valve and the throttle position sensor checked out-

Thank You. I just had the intake manifold gasket replaced would that have anything to do with it

Do you have a check engine light or has flashed?

Possible if the intake manifold is leaking-will have a vacuum leak. Did you have the IACV and TPS tested?

Could also be the computer not commanding the IACV to increase idle during additional engine load-
