Engine Cooling problem 1997 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 95000 miles ---------------------------------------------------------------- I have a 1997 chevy lumina with 95,000 miles. About one week ago my low coolant light came on. I filled the coolant reservoir with water. I then went to drive my car and the service engine soon light lit up. A few days later my low coolant light came on again. I checked the reservoir and it was empty! I have been filling up resirvoir with water every one to two days. It seems to be leaking towards the mid right side of the car! Its hard to tell because the air conditioning also seems to be leaking which i was told is normal after use. I would like to know why the coolant is leaking out so fast and what could be wrong? I am worried about driving even tho the car is running fine. The temperture gage fluctuates as the coolant gets low. How costly will this be to get fixed?
