Transmission problem
1997 Chevy Cheyenne 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 107,00 miles

my reverse/back up lights were flashing on and off at a rate comarable with speed going in reverse. this went on for quite a while. was told it was a problem in the transmission. now i get no lights at all. has anyone found a simple solution to this? is this common? thank you.
