1997 Chevy Astro Trans doesnt shift any gear

Transmission problem
1997 Chevy Astro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 165000 miles

I recent bought a tranmission for my Astro, the transmission (4l60E) comes from a Newer model (Blazer extreme 2003), i recent installed but transmission doenst shift any gear, the new tranmission got only 20,000 miles on it. All conections are correctly plugged. Can the cluth converter be the problem or the Codes???

If the fluid level is good and everything is plugged in , scanning it may not be a bad idea.If the PCM sees something wrong it may have stored a code .
