1997 Cadillac Catera 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 99000 miles

my cadillac catera has a big problem, it's not running. i ran it till it had no fuel what so ever. now, when i try to run it, it doesn't run. it cranks over and i put fuel in it, but it still doesn't run... any suggestion?

Hi:
You need to first check the fuel filter to make sure nothing has clogged it. If it's ok, you need to check if the fuel pump is working. Can you hear it come on for a few seconds when you first turn the key on?
