Electrical problem
1997 Buick Riviera 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 215000 miles
I have a 1997 Buick Riviera which does not register the proper level of fuel in the tank. When I first start the car, it registers one amount, however, as I drive along, the guage continues to move upwards. It never registers the same amount when I start it. Any suggestions?
Hi:
It sounds like the float is bad. However, it's part of the fuelpump assembly and both are in the tank. My only suggestion is to have the fuel gauge power supply checked for a voltage problem. If one exist, it will need replaced.
