I have a 97 bmw and the passenger door will not open you can pull the. Handle its not stuck and the lock will raise but. When I let go it will drop back
down is there anything I can do

Is the door stuck closed and you need help to get it open or is the lock giving some sort of issue, I don't quite understand. If the door is not able to be opened, you may have to get the door panel off and replace the door latch.
