1997 BMW 328 windows and interior lights, trunk lights

Electrical problem
1997 BMW 328 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 98000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
The windows will not go up or down, and we have checked and replaced some fuses assoc. with windows. Any ideas? Also, interior and trunk lights not working either. thanks

What was the thing that caused this to occur, when did this start, what happened to cause this problem?
