1997 BMW 328 no air from center vents

Air Conditioning problem
1997 BMW 328 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 172000 miles

No air comes from passenger/driver/center vents regardless of temp setting, fan speed, recirculate or fresh air. Blower sounds like it is working. Air comes from vents facing the ceiling and floor. Defrost works. When set to center vents, no air from defrost either.

Please reread your post, it seems as if you are contradicting yourself about the defrost vents.
