Heater problem
1996 Volvo 960 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 180000 miles

I have a 1996 Volvo 960 that evidently has a bad heater core (somewhere between the engine and the inside of the car). My mechanic, who I trust, has told me that it is a big job to replace it, and he really doesn't want to do it because of the amount of labor and what he would have to charge. Can you give me a ballpark estimate as to what it should cost to have this done? Maybe an estimate of the cost of the part(s) and about how many hours labor it should take?
