Air Conditioning problem

Why is the heat always on on my saab, I had a mechanic fill the the a/c but he said I had too much freon on, so he took some out and later the A/C stop working again, but when it was working I've notice that the center wents were blowing hot air and the side vents were blowing cold air, is really wierd, but now is always blowing really hot air all the time.
