Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Pontiac Bonneville Front Wheel Drive Automatic 144000 miles
96 Pontiac Boniville 3800 engine. Problem :car over heated due to bad thermostate.Replaced and flushed engine .Test drove and then engine started making a type of rattle as I accelerated.No noise when at idle. shut engine off wait 5 minites now car turns over but won't start. Any suggestions?????

Hi:
First, I need you to check if the engine is getting spark to the plugs and fuel. If it's getting both, it should run unless damage was done causing a loss of compression.
