Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Other Mitsubishi Models 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 72000 miles

Have 1996 Mitsubishi GT3000.

After having part of my exhaust system repaired by Midas, the car now, randomly rev's at high rpm's 2000-2500 RPM. The car sometimes stalls out in hot weather. I tried stepping on the accelerator, but it doesn't seem to slow down the RPM's.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Check for vacumn leakages at throttle and intake manifold.
