Transmission problem
1996 Mercury Marquis V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

when i acclerate hard my auto overdrive light comes on and flashes saying auto overdrive is off. also i have noticed that when i have my air running it does it more often what could this be caused from? Oh ya after i shut the car off and start again the light it no longer on until the next time i accelerate hard.
