Noises problem
1996 Mazda 323 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 118000 miles

I was driving along the highway at 100k when a sudden high pitched whistling sound started. The noise senned to be coming fron the exterior, roughly around the driver's front seat. I noticed ythe accelartor pedal had a strong vibration and the car tended to pull a little to the left. Slowed back to 80k but noise continued for about 5 minutes before stopping. Drove 20kilometres home with no more noise. Later drove around the street at 50k and the nise started again but stopped when I touched the brakes. Not sure if it can be related to my temperature guage always dropping back to zero when braking down steep inclines. The temp however never rises above the halfway point.
