Engine problem
1996 Lincoln Mark VIII V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 140000 miles

I r&r Intakes IMRC controls and replaced one actuator. Upon engine start up idle will not come down and continues to rise. I disconnected IAC but speed did not drop. IAC opening in throttle body draws alot of air, if I shut it down with rag engine will slow down. Is this the only item that could cause this extremely high idle?

take off your iac and make sure the pintle is moving freely.
