We have taken our 96 type S prelude to a workshop to get a few things done, clutch needed replacing also cam-belt and oil seals as these were leaking,

My main question is Do you have to remove the engine and gear box from the vehicle??

They removed this by lifting it out the bonnet sitting cables on the paint work - which is now scratched...

Also what would be a reasonable time from for this work to be completed??

Hi Black_prelude,

To replace the timng belt and clutch, removing the whole assy would make work easier, though not necessary.

If they had damaged the paint work, it should be their responsibility to get it repaired.

The book time should be about 6 hours.
