Electrical problem
1996 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1996 ford Taurus, my wife went outside to start the car and the only thing that happen was the key would turn and the instrument light were on. I turn the key to the lock position but the lights were still on I finally disconnected the battery. I looks like the lock cylinder is bad, I try to use a punch to release the cylinder but cannot get to come out.
