Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 158000 miles

my timing belt snaped at about 25 mph had the truck repaired but after i paid the mechanic told me it didt go over 30 and the exaust needed to be reploaced so i drove truck home and a few days later had cat replaced by someone else but still dose not go over 30 to 40 with any ease i was told timing is not adjustable on the 1996 ranger is this true? or do you have any other ideas of what may held!!! please help THANK YOU

u had no problem before the timing replacement
I would recheck base timing
check timing marks
