Transmission problem
1996 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 146000 miles

I CAN DRIVE MY CAR ABOUT 3 BLOCKS MAYBE THEN ITS LIKE IT POPS OUT OF GEAR THEN IT WILL NOT GO FORWARD OR BACKWARDS. ONCE I GET IT PUSHED HOME IT SITS FOR 2-4 HOURS THEN I CRANK IT AND GOES BACK IN GEAR BUT ONCE AGAIN I CAN ONLY DRIVE IT ABOUT 3 BLOCKS BEFORE THE SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN. PLEASE HELP ME I NEED THAT CAR ON THE ROAD ASAP CAUSE WE ARE DOWN TO ONE CAR.

Doesnt sound good, but it could be a plugged filter, Try a trans service first, if that doesnt help, you may need to find a trans shop in your area.
