Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Dodge Ram V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual 225000 miles
Truck stoped running while I was driving. I think that it may have seased. Is there any way I can tell before I take it to the repair shop. |

Welcome to the forum. Remove the plugs and accessory belt/s, see if you can turn the crank by hand? All the fluids ok? |

Pulled plugs and belts, would not turn. The dip stick is stuck so cannt check hower it does have some oil I looosend the drain just to see if there was any. Whats the next step. Pull the engine? |

Did you notice anything before it siezed? temp lite-- oil lite-- anything? You can pull oil pan and heads, see if you see anything? That's up to you. |

Just a thought, if you think the piston/s is siezed? With plugs removed, pour a little oil in each spark plug hole, let it set for a while, see if they come loose? Although the cylinders may still be damaged? |
