1996 Chevy Cavalier speedometer

1996 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic ? miles

The speedometer was not working on the 1996 Chevy Cavalier when I bought it now I can't figure out how to fix it. I already put the sensor on the transmission and it did not work. Any suggestions??

you may have to get a scan tool and have someone drive it to see if the pcm is reading mph. could be a possible broken wire or a bad ip cluster.
