1996 Chevy Blazer removal of fan from water pump

1996 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I am trying to replace a water pump, but can't get the fan off of the water pump. HELP!!

is this the one with the big nut in the middle of water pump? there is a special tool to hold the water pump. usually the parts store will loan it to you.
