Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1996 Cadillac Deville V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 160000 miles

I have a 1996 Deville and recently I have been getting a code that tells me the torque converter lock out selnoid needs replaced. I am retired and have in past years been a registered Chevy technician. I am told this selnoid is in the transmission. Is it much of a job to change? should it go to a shop? or is it just under the transmission oil pan? I have changed the one in my cavlier before. easy job.

Hi Butch Ga
It is so easy a caveman could do it. On back end of trans towards firewall see three solnoids. The top one is the TCC R&R won't even get dirty.
