I have a 91 E34 with 180,000 miles. Have had for two years as our "second car". Has always run very well and strong. Now she is hesitating and misfiring at low speeds. Had two coils and plugs replaced five months ago after driving through a deep puddle. Ran well after doing that.
Today had fuel injectors taken out and ultra-sounded to clean. Symptoms are better but it hasn't gotten completely better.
What else should I be looking at?
The rest of theCoils? Vacumn leak?
Coroded connections.
Help it's costing me 85.00 an hour just to figure it out.
Aloha and Mahalo,
Mahiman

Okay Brada, I hear you

Get the OBD2 scanned with or without a CEL you never know what's in there

Have them Look closely on the data stream-on the O2 sensors/TPS/MAF,MAP,or Airflow meter sensors.

Also could be a vacuum leak, weak F/pump,fuel pressure regulator/plug fuel filter/leaking EGR valve.

Recheck the ignition system

Bra this one can be a bear to find the bad menehune.

HTH Good Luck! Aloha-Kanaka

Howzit Kanaka and "rasmataz"
Thanks for the quick answer back. I really appreciate it.
On further inspection the problem was traced down to one of the coils. One thing they felt was that the ignition system should be looked at first. I feel we got off lucky as the tech is one of the best around and he found the real problem pretty fast. One thing I wanted to tell you. Since my car is a 91, it is not equipped for the OBD2 sensor. That started in 96 and all cars after.
So thanks for the feedback and we'll spaak you later!
Aloha,
Mahiman
