acura rsx, 2002. 108,000 miles. hi, i stopped at a red traffic light, put it in first,green light, grabbed the gear shifter and it felt like it was in jelly - the car doesnt leave first gear. No noise. If I try to drive too fast, the RMPS go up to nearly four; if I stay very slow, it keeps going in first gear, like i would expect the car to go in first. Someone suggested a broken shift cable, does my car have that? Could it be something else? Will this be a budget killer?
