I just bought a 1990 alfa romeo spider. It runs good and shifted good when I test drove it.Got it home and noticed something leaking under it.Next day I get in it and the clutch pedal is hard .You can push it in with some effort but it stays on the floor. It looks like the leak is coming from the clutch hose.Help!!!

Obviously something to do with the clutch assembly is not moving and the excessive pressure has ruptured the hose. Possibly a spring has come out of the friction disk and is stopping pressure plat movement. Alfa, MG have always been a pain when it came to clutch hydralics. Might ask last owner if any clutch work has been done, I had one that had had the wrong through out bearing installed and the car went as far as my shop before the problem showed up. Try telling someone that they need a new clutch fifty miles after the last one.
