2007 Buick Lucerne Remote Keyless Entry

Computer problem
2007 Buick Lucerne 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 10200 miles

My remote would only lock the car. It would not unlock the doors or remotely start the car. I browsed thru the buttons on the dash & found one that said "Press the check mark to relearn remote key". I did that & it solved the problem. My question is "what caused the remote key to become "unlearned"? I am wondering if I can expect this to happen again.

It could have been caused from radio interference from an outside source. You should not have any more trouble.
