I have a 2005.5 Audi 2.0 with 26,000 miles, the problem I’m having is when I put gas in. I have to do it very slowly otherwise the pump shots off. The dealer replaced the tank and it still does it. I was told there are many different valves in the tank to monitor emissions. It did not do this for the dealer but he replaced the tank anyway.
The automatic shut off mechanism in the fuel dispening nozzle works by measuring very small differences in pressure. For some reason your tank or fiiling neck is holding pressure. Keep on the dealer to correct this problem.
Are your keys still in when you get gas? Is your car on? Try taking your keys out before filling up and wait a second after doing so. I had a similar problem.
